Ministries

The years of childhood are unparalleled in importance in building character, love, and a positive response to Christ and the church. Our ministry for children strives to encourage children in every area of their growth - spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically and socially. While Sundays and Wednesday nights are filled with regular activities for our children, we do offer special events throughout the year. We do not offer weekday programs. Join us in Ed Bldg I at 9:15 a.m. for Bible Study and at 10:45 a.m. for a special Children's Worship Service. 

AWANA

Kindergarten - 6th Grade
Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 pm

These fun-filled nights are packed with games, music, and teaching from God’s Word. Children will learn to spend time with God and memorize Scripture.

Children's Choir

Children's Choir is for grades 2nd through 6th and meets every Sunday night during the evening service for a fun time of worship through song, drama, dance, and more!

Intercessory Prayer Team members gather prior to services to pray over the teaching pastor. We pray for the pastors, staff and church-wide needs and receive a weekly update of current prayer requests. A major focus of the Hibernia IPT is praying for the FLOCK (Families, Lost, Offering, Children's Ministries, Kindred Spirit.)

We look for and offer activities that build relationships and strengthen men's emotional well being through service and support of the church and community, including a yearly golf tournament, Men's Retreat, Men's night out, Business Men's Monthly luncheon and prayer meetings throughout the week. Men's Small Groups

Our church is on mission locally and internationally. To find out more about how we’re on mission and how you can join us ... click on locally or internationally!

For the very young to the young at heart, we have music! If you love to sing or just love to listen, you will enjoy what Hibernia Baptist Church has to offer. Each week our Celebration Choir leads our services, while supported by wonderful musicians on guitar, piano, drums and keyboard. Featured soloist share their testimony through song to lift the name of the Lord. We also have music programs for the youth and children, including special musicals centered around many Christian holidays. The older singles (40's and up) meets in WCII upstairs at 9:15 a.m. and is taught by Gene Saunders and Scott Philiips. 

Whether your child is a newborn or an active Kindergartener, we have a place for them where they will grow in knowledge of the Biblical teachings of Jesus Christ. We hope you will join us. Click here to view the preschool ministry calendar.

We care about your fifth and sixth grader. We utilize the Awana program on Wednesday nights and use the Generations of Grace curriculum on Sunday mornings.

We are beginning a faith and character based ministry in the fall for 70 men who will be in a faith-based dorm instead of a regular dorm. We are needing one man to lead this from start to finish and a couple dozen (men only) volunteers. This will be a year-long ongoing commitment in discipleship. We plan on being at the prison in Raiford 3 nights a week for an hour each lesson.

The abundant life in Christ expressed in John 10:10 defines how many Hibernia Baptist senior adults are living their lives. The Senior Adult Ministry, open to all those who are 55 and over, seeks to honor God by providing opportunities for senior adults to grow spiritually, fellowship with one another, and reach lost and unchurched senior adults in the community. Through Bible studies, outreach opportunities and involvement in various ministries, this growing ministry also encourages senior adults not to "retire" in their service to Christ. Batting Cage
Hibernia Baptist Church now offers a batting cage for individuals or teams wanting to practice.  Simply fill out the registration form and we will review your request.  We will email you a confirmation within 24 hours.  Please check the calendar on the registration page to see if the date/time you are requesting is available.

Sunday 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Monday 9:00 am - dark
Tuesday 9:00 am - dark
Wednesday 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
