Hello Families,

My name is Jonathan Murdock and I am so excited about the opportunity to serve your families and partner with you in the discipleship of your children as the new Kids Pastor! I have a passion for the Word of God and helping to raise young men and women who are totally ecstatic about the things of God and have a desire to share Him in whatever context He has placed them.

I was 12 years old when the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the gospel, I was saved, and began to be discipled by an incredible church family in Daytona. Soon after this I developed a passion for serving in kids ministry. When I was 16, after preaching my first sermon to my youth group, God affirmed the call on my life to be a pastor. After graduating highschool I attended Trinity Baptist College and earned a degree in Pastoral Theology and I am currently finishing up my Masters of Divinity at Southern Seminary.

In 2021 I married my highschool sweetheart, Kalee, and we moved to Fernandina Beach where I served at First Baptist Church as their Kids Director for about 3 years. Growing up near Daytona Beach my hobbies include: running, hiking, sports, surfing, camping, and basically anything else outdoors. We are so excited to join the Hibernia family and are honored to be apart of your child’s discipleship journey.
